DURABILITY
A completely galvanized steel footing system, Key Footing Forms will provide years and years of use. No more buying wood planks, wood stakes, nails and screws. No replacing and hauling bulky, heavy wood planks. These forms are compact and easy to transport.
COMPATIBILITY Easy and accurate way of estimating concrete volumes. Since every foot of these footings is exactly the same volume, there is no more over-estimating of volumes and waste of concrete. ICF’s do not lift out of Key Footing forms for several reasons. Corner forms are screwed to the footing system, and straight forms are zip-tied or taped, making footings and walls a single unit. The weight of standard reusable wall forms make them immovable. To further guarantee there is no movement, the footings and the first 6 inches of the wall are poured with a plasticizer additive in the concrete. This ensures proper filling of the footing and faster hardening of the concrete so on subsequent lifts the footing and wall connection is already solid. GREEN BUILDING
Key Footings are compatible with virtually any ICF or reusable pan wall form. Only a few different length bolts allow for 4”, 5”, 6”, 7”, 8”, and 10” concrete walls, or even 4 feet wide for commercial stand-alone footings
Key Footings have been tested to work with most bracing and scaffolding systems.
FOOTING STRENGTH
Key Footings contain the same volume of concrete as a standard 8” x 20” rectangular footing but has superior strength because of the pyramid shape. Engineers and architects approve the extra strength provided with no cold joint between wall and footing, monolithic pour of walls, one continuous vertical re-bar from top of wall to bottom of footing, perfectly centered wall on footing, and perfectly placed horizontal re-bar in footing.
Tested to 250 pounds of static load per foot. Enough compressive strength to hold 16 feet of steel wall panel forms such as Symons, EMI, Universal, or the lighter aluminum Western forms.
ACCURACY
Key Footings remain static during construction and pouring phases to ensure being level, straight, square, flat, and plumb. Several key factors make the system reliably static. The form's seven different bends, in pyramid shape, are extremely rigid spreading the weight evenly to attached stakes and ground. The telescoping connection at the joint of two sections is equally rigid. While the bottom flange of the forms rests firmly on the earth, stakes securely fastened to the lower slot bolts and the ground firmly steady the footings and walls during construction.
EFFICIENCY
Key Footings unique form adjuster and strong telescoping connections make any wall length achievable with minimal effort. Incremental adjustments with the form adjuster result in a completely accurate layout. With wall length perfectly established, you can quickly set up for virtually any building including ninety degree, forty-five degree, and step footings.
Key Footings PVC spacers perform double duty by providing valuable weep holes. The weep holes allow escape routes for radon gas and to relieve hydraulic water pressure from inside the building to outer drain tiles. If necessary, weep holes can be easily plugged with Water Plug.
Tear down is very quick. Removal of wall bracing and footing forms are all done at once.
